The Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed (381 AD)

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible; And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only-begotten, Begotten of the Father before all ages, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, Begotten, not made; of one being with the Father, through whom all things were made: Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and was made man; And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; And ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; And He is again coming with glory to judge the living and the dead, Whose kingdom shall have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and Giver of Life, Who proceeds from the Father {and the Son*}, Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke by the Prophets; in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, And the life of the age to come. Amen.

WHO WE KNOW

"What we believe" is best proclaimed by "who we know", and who we know is God the man Jesus Christ.

WE KNOW JESUS AS GOD

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

WE KNOW JESUS AS THE SON OF GOD

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

WE KNOW JESUS AS MAN

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

WE KNOW JESUS AS SAVIOR

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

WE KNOW JESUS AS "THE MYSTERY REVEALED"

the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints.  To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col. 1:26-27

WE KNOW JESUS AS LIFE ITSELF

“I am the resurrection and the life." John 11:25

WE KNOW JESUS AS GOD'S FINAL WORD

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. Hebrews 1:1-2
